Mcclure Wedding (aka my big day)

So, if you asked my bestie, she'd probably tease me (all in good fun, of course) about being totally wedding obsessed. I mean, who else buys a wedding planner before a ring is even in sight? 😅

But you know what they say—good things come to those who wait. And let me tell you, all that waiting for my, um, I mean OUR big day? Totally worth it.

The Setup & Planning

The second I said ‘yes,’ I was headfirst into a Pinterest frenzy. My boards soon filled with disco ball chandeliers and bouquets bigger than my head. But then reality hit, and when my hubby-to-be gently reminded me that I’m not Sophia Richie and I indeed do have a budget, planning took a turn.

So, “we” dialled it back and swapped out the bling for the natural beauty of my parents' farm. Who needs extravagant flowers when you've got the soft glow of fairy lights and cozy couches under the stars, am I right?

The ceremony

Our ceremony unfolded on Mum and Dad's farm, the majestic Grampians providing a breathtaking backdrop. Donna, aka The Celebrant extraordinaire, took charge, calming our nerves as we exchanged vows in our laid-back style. Despite the heat, it only added to the special vibe of the day – a chill celebration that will forever be etched in our memories.

The food

If you know anything about me and my partner, you know we love nothing more than some good old dirty takeaway. So when it came to the grub, we had three words in mind: American, Mexican and Stewart’s catering (yes I’m counting that as one word). Between loaded fries and taquitos Stewart’s catering was the perfect fit for us. He was able to blend the two cuisines and make our wedding food something that is uniquely us.

D-floor

You can always gauge the success of a party by how packed the dance floor. If the dance floor ain't lit, the wedding ain't legit. Well, our wedding was no exception. All the kings men absolutely smashed it is (as usual) even learning my fav blink182 song.

Photography

When it came to wedding photography, I had a clear vision in mind – I wanted that laid-back documentary vibe. Something that could capture all the love and craziness from our amazing crew of friends and family. Enter Jackson Grant. His infectious energy put us right at ease, and he managed to snap countless authentic moments that we'll cherish forever.

I could go on and on, but let's call it a day. It was seriously unforgettable, and I can't thank everyone who pitched in enough. If you're gearing up for your own big day, just do you! Your wedding should totally scream "you" - beerbong and all. Here's to celebrating love, your way!
